Pedagogy
I am a firm believer in learning good vocal technique to unleash the creativity inside each and every unique singer and being focused and aware in the 'present moment' to gain the most from your learning and performing experience. I use lots of different teaching styles personally tailored to each students needs ...and wants! I have a dedicated music studio with Audacity and video recording facilities, both a transposing keyboard and piano and I can utilise vocal feedback software such as SingAndSee and Winsingad to enable students to see their voices in action. I also work on performance skills and understanding the text, style and meaning in songs based within their performance context. Language singing skills include German, French, Italian, Latin, Russian and English.
I believe that learning singing can be fun as well as hard work and I am as happy teaching a complete beginner as teaching someone working for a professional diploma
